PVD hard coating methods are thin-film forming methods. The surface is coated in a thickness of only a few microns. 1 micron is 0.001 mm. Hard coatings were originally developed for surface hardening of steel, aluminum, etc., to increase their surfaces scratch- and wear resistance. These coatings have applications in highly stressed materials for racing or aerospace engineering.
PVD coating technologies have been used over years for decorative coatings. However, the range of colors used was limited to anthracite to black.
Over the years the existing PVD coating processes have been used for decorative purposes. However, the range of colors was limited to anthracite and black. With our new DURAMANTAN-COATING we will lead you into a totally new era of watch individualisation. These newly developed DURAMANTAN hard coatings allow for the first time a luxury colorartion of the watches in colors like green, blue, etc. With no doubt the limited spectrum from black to anthracite coatings finally belongs to past.
This groundbreaking development of DURAMANTAN-COATINGS belongs exclusively to the company RAU-TECH.
These DURAMANTAN coatings have a surface micro-hardness between 2000 - 4000 HV, which is 10 - 20 times harder comparing to stainless steel.
We are proud to offer you DURAMANTAN for your watch individualization.
Conventional hard-coatings are applied at a temperature varying between 250° and 450° C, while DURAMANTAN is applied at temperatures below 180° C, a much lower temperature that would not impact the metal structure of the case or the bracelet. All geometrical dimensions remain preserved and water leaks due to mechanical deformations of the watch case are eliminated.
The protection: DURAMANTAN-COATINGS are extremely smooth and therfore have very low friction and wear.
Hardness: Depending on the coatings used, the micro-harnesses is 10 to 20 times the hardness of steel.
With COLORAMANTAN we have the possibility to modify only segments of the watch cases or bracelets. The geometry and color of the segments can be freely chosen and are not limited to rectangles, circles or stars. Also motives are possible. The case and bracelet material is preserved as the basic material.
Very useful for individualizations of gold watches, because the basic material remains visibly unchanged.
- Biocompatible
- High hardness
- Variety of colors
- Can be treated later

In order to exceed the highest quality requirements, we obtain the material for our leather watch straps for Rolex watches directly from well-known tanneries in Italy and England, which stand for first-class quality in the luxury segment. One of these tanneries is the Haas tannery with its high-quality Novonappa leather. The certified and waterproof leather and the high-quality workmanship ensure a long service life and a pleasant wearing comfort of our leather watch straps for Rolex watches, because the comfort of your watch largely depends on the quality of the watch strap.
We buy our leather ourselves and test the material in various ways to see whether the leather meets our desired standards. For example, we have tested a wide variety of waterproof leathers for abrasion in the dry and wet elements, as well as the absorption of moisture after 30, 60 and 90 minutes.
The leather develops a unique patina due to external influences, which gives each strap an individual look. because it does not have an aniline finish. Further information can be found in the documents that Haas kindly provided us with.
Rubber material always tries to be straight, which means it works against the curve of the arm. This is counteracted by means of loops. However, FKM rubber is relatively smooth, so it happened to me that the second loop slipped over the perforated tape side or slipped towards the buckle, this is of course also favored by sleeves on shirts and sweaters.
As far as we know, R-Straps is the first company that has produced the entire product range of watch straps in a uniform design, regardless of the material, in order to obtain a uniform image. We also had this middle elevation built into the loops to give the strap a uniform design. Ammann manufactures all of the threads that are used in our ribbons.
With our newly developed loop fastening system, the second loop is firmly locked, regardless of the bandwidth set for your arm. As a result, the belt part can no longer get caught on the clothing sleeve. The end of the strap also shows off a nice design element.
Firstly, our goal is to keep your Rolex bracelet as original as possible.
Depending of your bracelet stretch there are two possibilities to repair.
1 repair option
When the watch has been worn firmly on the arm: - In this case replacing the link pins and tubes in the bracelet is usualy enough. The bracelet has only worn out through abrasion at the pins and tubes.
2 repair option
If the watch was worn loosely: - In this case, the work of point 1 is not enough. Each activity is stretch in the length of the band, with additional abrasion and wear. In these cases, dents have formed literally in the middle and outer links. This means that the limbs became significantly narrower and you often see the connecting pins. To restore the original width here, the use of the laser is required.
